Ran by the Alzheimer’s Society, participants could choose from 8 different locations and walk either 13 or 26 miles on the day.
Karen, and her teammates, opted to take part in the Lake District and took up the challenge of walking 13 miles, where they were able to experience the beauty of Ullswater lake surrounded by towering fells and the powerful Aira Force waterfall.
To date, Karen and her teammates have managed to raise an incredible £2,280 for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that has vowed to help end the devastation caused by dementia, through dedicated support and research into life-changing treatments.
