“I wasn’t expecting such an enjoyable course over teams but I was pleasantly surprised. Our trainer was ace and being able to take control and actually configure the training system was brilliant. Comfort breaks were well spaced and just the right amount.“

Delegates will then progress into hands-on configuration, learning how to create and manage entities, maps, icons, and alarm settings.
The course also focuses on the QL Full Client and Configuration Tool, giving participants practical experience with navigation, alarm handling, and output control. Delegates will explore core operational tools including map viewers, F keys, alarm stacks, and user access setup, while also configuring drivers, portals, and system parameters.
In addition, the training covers browser-based interfaces including the Web Client and Dashboards. Delegates will learn how to run reports, configure site mimic views, and manage workflows. The session also includes essential support practices such as system backups, database restores, and the use of the Workflow Editor to build customised alarm responses.
By the end of the course, delegates will have developed the technical skills and confidence required to configure, support, and optimise Datalog QL systems across a variety of sites and use cases.
This one-day, virtual training course kicks off with a deep dive into Datalog Editor. Following on from this, delegates will continue their journey into the Datalog Editor software with a focus on alarm highlights, input/output groups, and tailoring alarm causes.
