Cortech Developments and Secure Logiq have concluded their joint Resilience by Design CPD events, welcoming security consultants, specifiers and industry professionals to two sessions focused on the challenges of maintaining business continuity in critical and high-availability environments.
Held at the British Library in London on 16 September and The Lowry in Salford on 7 October 2026, the events explored how a collaborative approach to security technology and infrastructure can help organisations strengthen operational resilience.
Under the full title A Collaborative Approach to Business Continuity in Critical Environments, the sessions examined the importance of designing for resilience from the outset, considering how security management platforms, resilient infrastructure and effective system design can contribute to maintaining continuity when it matters most.
As organisations face increasingly complex security requirements, resilience depends on more than the capabilities of individual technologies. It requires careful consideration of how systems, infrastructure and operational processes work together to support continuity, visibility and effective decision-making.
Through presentations from both organisations, attendees explored the role of security management technology and resilient infrastructure, alongside the importance of planning for redundancy, failover and continuity.
The sessions also provided an opportunity for professionals to share experiences, exchange ideas and discuss the practical challenges facing their own projects and organisations.
Feedback from attendees highlighted the technical value of the presentations and the potential for the discussions to inform future projects.
When asked about their key takeaway from the event, one attendee commented: “That Cortech Developments & Secure Logiq have an extremely powerful platform and product, I am contacting building security teams to discuss the products and potential opportunities.”
The response highlights how bringing complementary expertise together can help professionals explore the practical application of security technology and identify potential opportunities beyond the event itself.
Alongside the technical content, the format and atmosphere of the events were also recognised by attendees. One described enjoying “the family like flow of the day and the knowledgeable speakers”, while another highlighted “the excellent presentations and meeting with other security professionals and discussing potential new opportunities”.
The choice of venues and the opportunity to engage with professionals outside the traditional London events circuit were also welcomed.
As one attendee noted: “The welcome and friendly atmosphere provided by Cortech personnel and the interesting venue. Great to attend a non-London-centric event.”
The feedback reinforces the value of creating opportunities for professionals to connect, exchange perspectives and build relationships alongside formal learning.
By hosting sessions in both London and Greater Manchester, Cortech Developments and Secure Logiq brought the discussion to different parts of the UK, creating opportunities for professionals to engage with the subject matter and one another in an accessible, collaborative setting.
Jason Blundell, Head of Sales and Marketing at Cortech Developments, said: “Resilience is about more than the technology itself; it’s about understanding how systems, infrastructure and people work together to maintain continuity when it matters most. These events have provided a valuable opportunity to bring security professionals together, share knowledge and explore the challenges facing critical environments. The feedback from attendees has been particularly encouraging, and it reinforces the importance of creating opportunities for meaningful discussion and collaboration across our industry.”
Hayley Joseph, Markets & Channel Manager at Secure Logiq, said; “Hosting events with technology partners is always a rewarding experience. Bringing together best-in-class software and hardware creates a powerful combination, delivering real value to our audience. Our recent CPD events, Resilience by Design hosted with Cortech Developments demonstrated the importance of education and knowledge-sharing, adding real depth to the solutions and opportunities presented to specifiers. We thoroughly enjoyed collaborating on these sessions and would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the engaging Q&A discussions that brought each event to a close.”
The events reflect a shared commitment by Cortech Developments and Secure Logiq to supporting knowledge exchange across the security sector and helping professionals better understand the technologies and approaches available to address complex operational challenges.
By bringing security management and infrastructure expertise together, the sessions highlighted the importance of considering the wider operational environment when designing security solutions, particularly where availability, reliability and continuity are essential.
Both organisations would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions in London and Manchester.
The conversations reinforced a central message: effective resilience requires a joined-up approach, bringing together the right technologies, infrastructure and expertise to help organisations prepare for disruption and maintain critical operations.
